Notes/sketches/ failings/ methods of printing, etc. hopefully updated every week with new feeds. I am currently work on the poems of w b Yeats 16 linocuts of which 3 are near complete, I am also working on a west pier large woodcut, and a Celtic myth the Morrigan an entity that has the power of shapeshifting, ( a crow, an old hag and a beautiful goddess of war).
Ship of Souls
West Pier Brighton, Charcoal
West Pier Brighton, Woodcut, 100 × 70cm
Badb The morrigan
here are some of my new prints based on the poems of WB Yeates, 1 the folly of being comforted, 2 the apparition, 3 the old man contemplating his past, 4 three marching songs. 30x20cm linocuts except for 4 40x30cm. I am finding the process difficult as i am new to linocut, and while it has its benefits, it is difficult to keep the lines flowing when the images are small.
